Deleting and Re-downloading Music

Hi there,

I recently upgraded from an iPhone X to an iPhone 13 Pro. I transferred all of my data from my last phone using the feature that transfers the content when the old phone is close to the new phone. In my Apple Music library, I have over 4000 songs. My new and old phone were both 256 GB storage capacity, and on my old device my Apple Music Library took up about 45GB of storage total. Unfortunately, when Lossless audio came out a couple months ago, I had switched the download setting to Hi-Res Lossless Audio, which takes up lots more storage. When I transferred to the new iPhone 13 Pro, it downloaded all 4000 of my songs in the highest quality possible, and now my Apple Music Library is taking up over 100GB of storage on my new phone. I want to change the download type to non-Hi-Res Lossless, and regular audio quality instead. I want to do this, however I do not want to delete a single song or file from my music library. I only want to remove the downloads of my songs, and re-download them in a lower quality download type.

The only way I can think to do this would be to delete the Apple Music app on my new phone in hopes of it deleting only the downloads from my phone, and then reinstalling the Apple Music app after I changed the download quality type. I worry that this may delete all the songs from my music library though.

Secondly, if this would work, how could I re-download all 4000 of my songs without scrolling through each file and clicking the 3 dots button and then hitting download? The only idea I have for this would be to make a playlist of all of my songs via my computer, and then hitting download on the playlist once I re-download the app.

Anything at this point helps, as long as I can keep my music library in tact I will be grateful. Thanks ahead in advance.
