connect superdrive to MacBook Air 2020

my superdrive won't properly boot up on the MacBook Air 2020. I get a message saying usb accessory needs power.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.5

Perhaps ask when you purchase an adapter (USB-C) for one

which allows 'pass-through power & data.' May be worth it.


Anything less and you've already been there.


The cable/adapter connections suggested in

this article may be an answer. Hopefully so.
