Iphone 12 Pro Max shoots only 720p in High efficiency (even if set to 1080p)

Recently upgraded from iPhone 6s+ to 12 Pro Max, iOS 15.0.2

I'm impressed with the video quality so far but is there a reason why all my videos are in 1280x720, even if settings clearly say 1080p HD at 30FPS?

The only combination where I get 1080p is in "Most compatible" mode with HDR turned off .. Every other combination of settings (High Efficiency, HDR, 1080p Resolution) results in 1280x720 video ..

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong??? Don't recall that behaviour from my old Iphone 6s plus

Thanks

thanks for replying.

Isnt ProRaw only for photos?

After updating to iOS 15.0.2 and a fresh restart I tried again shooting HD video:

Format was set to High efficiency, HDR-video turned off, I shot a short video with resolution set to 1080p HD at 30 FPS as well as 4k at 30FPS.. BOTH videos turned out to be 1280x720 !!!!! (when imported to PC through iCloud).. ONLY when I set the Format to "Most compatible" I get the resolutions I define in settings (... but also ONLY if I turn off HDR-video) .. EVERYTHING else will be 1280x720, no matter what setting i choose..

What the heck is going on here?? This is super odd!!!

Maybe a bug with iOS 15 and iPhone 12??

Thanks again
