I mistakenly allowed a site for access to control Safari

I mistakenly allowed a site which kept asking me for access to control safari, then i downloaded etrecheck to detect it, however i'm not sure if i should remove all the files, or leave certain ones. i just wanna be sure i won't delete anything that would affect my mac in the future.

"so i should not delete any files that has been termed as risky? since i already used etrecheck?"

-------

What to do:

Scan with MalwareBytes for Mac first. Malwarebytes is created by long time users of these forums, making it the only trustworthy Security Software for a Mac. Once scanned, remove items from the quarantine. Then, backup your Mac. Next, delete what is found from etrecheck, incase any issue come about.

Important: Back Up your Mac First:

Be certain you create a backup of your Macprior to performing this. That way, you will have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong with the configuration. For the Backup, use an external hard drive of at least 1.5 times the storage, or use iCloud

Scan your Mac for Malware:

Use MalwareBytes for Mac --- This is software that searches for malware/adware. So, scan with it and then remove what is found. Once removed, uninstall MalwareBytes for Mac. Then restart the Mac.

Downloads:

  1. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac
  2. Malwarebytes Uninstaller

First of all, never, ever post screenshots from EtreCheck. The user interface can display personal information.

Please use the “Share report” button in the toolbar. That will generate a text report that automatically removes all personal information. It will also be a complete report. Then, you can use the “Additional text” button here in the edit window to post your entire report.

In most cases, anything that EtreCheck calls “possibly adware” is definitely adware. But if you post the entire report, we can tell you exactly what files need to be deleted.
