Voice Recording From an Android

I received an audio file attachment with a text message from an Android phone. The attachment is titled part0.awb. This is a voice recording the Android user did on his phone and sent to me.

My only options with this file are to copy it to the buffer or send it on to someone else as a message attachment. I have no way, for instance, to save it to Files.

I saw some people said they have installed VLC Player to play the recording and/or otherwise manipulate it. But how do you tell VLC Player where the file is?

I seem to have no way to do anything natively with the file, and no way to tell VLC where to find it.

Anybody have any other ideas?

We understand you're trying to playback an AWB file that was sent to you. Since this file type is not natively supported by iOS, you're correct in that you'll need to use a third-party app to try playing it back.

To get started, you'd usually just save the file to the Files app on your iPhone: Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch Then try accessing the file in the app you want to use to play it back. If you're not sure how to access files in VLC or another third-party app, contact the app developer directly for additonal help: How to contact an app developer
