iPhone 13 pro voice cuts and the other person can't hear me

I have an issue where my iphone 13 pro voice cuts out on speakerphone calls, not for me, but for the person on the other phone. Anyone else having this happen? The speaker grilles are clear.

Hello everyone.

i just want to share the solution i figured out which greatly helped me, hopefully it’ll be a big help to everybody struggling with the speaker problem; being not heard by the other party when using the speaker for calls.

during calls, slide down the top of your screen to open Control Centre. You will see the a setting “Mic Mode”, i saw in my setting that its “Voice Isolation” i turned it to wide spectrum or standard. And it immediately worked! Hopefully it will work. I have attached a photo of what im referring to.

cheers

I have IPhone 13 Pro max and since day one I activated the phone I have people other end complaining my voice breaking up everytime I use speakerphone. I went to Apple store and they check everything on my phone they said device is 100% fine no issue on iphone or software. They recommended issues with carrier network. Since I have cricket wireless I contacted them everyday for one week , cricket recommended change SIM card and may resolve the problem. After change SIM card and resetting network setting call quality problem is not resolved. I am very frustrated after spending $1100 on phone I can’t talk to the people the way I want. As of today I still have call quality problem on my iPhone 13 pro max. When I use on speakerphone mode.I hope soon Apple will realized the problem and solve it. Very disappointed with Apple.

My wife’s phone iPhone 13 Pro, is having the same issue as usual. But what I did notice as I was talking to her on my iPhone 11 Pro, and she was on speakerphone, if I muted my end while I am not talking it would be perfect and could hear everything she is saying, as soon as I un mute my end and her phone hears anything on my end it starts breaking up the signal as usual. It’s definitely something with the noise cancellation or noise gate that is causing the problem on that phone. Can be easily replicated.

I called Apple support again last night about the speaker phone malfunctioning and talked to a rep named Joe. While I was describing the problem, my speaker phone cut out so he couldn't hear me. It's less than a month old and still under warranty, so he is sending me to Best Buy to diagnose the issue, since the Apple Store near me closed permanently. I haven't purchased Apple Care because I'm very careful with my phones and thought this one would be well made -- but maybe I should, if this is any indication of the road ahead. Your thoughts?

I called last night and was told also by the girl oh we have never heard of this issue. I said how can you sit here and lie to me when this issue is all over the apple.com discussions and literally thousands of people are complaining of the same thing. So after an hour on the phone with her telling me can you repeat that over and over she finally agreed she heard it on my line. So supposedly someone is calling me back on Saturday. I won’t hold my breathe

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 13 Pro Max on the T-Mobile network. Handheld, speaker and AirPods. - doesn't matter. Sometimes it works okay and other times I only get about every third word if I am lucky. Can't figure out if it is the phone or the network but given some people have mentioned other carriers, it must be the phone. What versions of the iPhone are not having these call quality problems? I am frustrated enough that I would almost go back to a flip phone so I could hear conversations.

UPDATE: Apple sent me to Best Buy to diagnose the speaker phone problem. The tech guy said, "That sounds like a software problem Apple needs to fix with an update." Then he looked and said, "Wow - they just pushed out a new update!" So I downloaded it and have made several very long calls using only the speaker phone, and everyone says I sound great and my voice has not cut out or been garbled. I'M HOPEFUL THAT IT'S FIXED!

I BROKE THE CODE!!! At least for me. I finally realized that the "waterproof" case I bought from Amazon covers all the microphone holes so that no one on the other end can hear you except a very muffled voice from you. I took it off, called a friend, problem solved! I tried every suggestion made in this thread before figuring this out. Check your case and see if it's covering your 3 microphone holes. Good luck!
