I created a movie in IMovie 10.3. It is still selecting a random image in the middle of the movie to make my thumbnail/poster (image that shows up in the end and beginning of movie) how can I change this. I have tried numerous suggestions and nothing has consistently worked..
Unfortunately, no progress has made on being able to choose the thumbnail. The only thing that has worked is to change the midpoint of the movie by adding a black background of suitable duration at the beginning and/or end of the movie. Even at that, there is no guaranteed way to choose the exact frame that you want for the thumbnail.
You can change the thumbnail display on a movie that has been exported to your desktop. However, the change will not carry over to other apps or to websites to which you may export.
