No sound notifications for texts on iPhone 12

I agree w/ Isaac. This is an iMessage or iCloud issue which only Apple can address. We’ve seen it on iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro for nearly a year. We do not use Apple Watch. Our iPhones and iPads see this issue. Very frustrating. No amount of tweaking and resetting fixes the problem.

Same problem here, no notifications from messages at all and not going to Apple Watch either. Yes we checked all of the settings. 3 users in our house all having the same problem. Very frustrating.

I am having the same problems. No ring or vibrate for calls or texts. I have checked all the settings you listed here for both the watch and phone. I have turned off the focus feature and my friends are still getting the message from focus showing that I’m not accepting messages at this time. I haven’t gotten a text notification or phone call tone since this awful update was added. How do I fix this?

I'm having the same issue. it seems to happen when i'm wearing my watch and close to my iPhone. I turned off bluetooth and it's still happening. no sound and no badge on my phone or watch when a text comes through. everything is updated to latest ios.

I am having the same issues. I just swapped over from android at Christmas last year and I am learning Apple products have way more issues than android. It’s a constant troubleshooting process to get everything to work where Samsung phones just work.

Agreed, I may have had expected things to work a bit better transitioning over. Bought a iPad and iPhone. Was going to get a Mac, Watch and few other things but now I’ve put that on hold due to the issues with notifications and cloud hiccups. My notifications are sounding out the skip a few messages then sound out and skip a few more. I don’t wanna be checking my phone constantly to be sure I didn’t miss something important. I’m really new to iOS so I have to ask, Does Apple usually address these things or is it a you have to live with it type of situation?

I am super disappointed. I don’t get what everyone brag’s about with Apple. I spent $1300 on a phone that is buggy to say the least. kinda feel ripped off. My 4 year old note 8 had less issues. unfortunately it looks like my best option is to try to sell or trade in my iPhone 13 pro max go back to android since Apple doesn’t care about there customer base. Samsung at least appreciates there customers enough to address issues and provide support. Guess that’s why they have the majority of the market share today. I am regretting swapping to Apple more and more each day. Unstable phone and keyboard behavior, apps crashing and the support is non existent. Let’s just sum it up with one word, Crapple IOS.

I thought it was just me. My phone hasn’t annoinced texts tone for over a year. Thought it was my old phone. Got the 12 pro over a year ago. Same problem when the screen is locked I get no text tones. When it unlocked it works fine. Missed so many important messages because of this. Apple really needs to fix it. Missed a meeting yesterday because it didnt ring!

I have been having the same problem. I've done everything that the author stated above, and it still doesn't work in locked status. I get some, maybe all, when the phone is unlocked, but I don't think any when the phone is locked. I've turned off notifications on my watch, thinking that it would eliminate that being the problem. I still get no sound alerts when the phone is locked.

I too have one notification that works is my ringtone for texts and calls, all other tones non existent. Can’t turn off Bluetooth as i need phone for hearing devices. Would love to be able to put phone down and be notified I have messages other than text or calls. Sorry I didn’t purchase an android. For money spent iPhones are just not a good purchase.
