Why wont my new iphone back up my iphone 8 plus stuff?! I want my photos

I hooked my iphone 8plus to itunes a few days ago with the new update and haad to buy a new phone becvause of the update. now my new itunes tells me the can't down load my back up to my new phone?! It has my new babies phones on it! :(

Backing up my iPhone hey so guys i have a question about the back up process on iTunes locally ( by locally i mean backing up in my laptop) : does a backup include photos , videos and music? I mean if i backup my iPhone via itunes in my laptop and later something happens to my iPhone let’s say it got broken or i forgot my password and i had to reset it or to buy another one.. if i restore my iPhone from that backup i did in my laptop via iTunes do i get all my photos , videos and music back ? Load Itunes to my computer to back up my phone. It has been awhile since I did this and I'm 78 years old and need help to back up my phone, I don't trust icould to get all my photos. What do I do I'm taking my phone to an apple store which is five hours away to get checked. it has all kinds of problems

I can't back up my iPhone 8 to my iCloud and laptop My iPhone 8 was unable to back up to my iCloud and my laptop. I increased the storage on the cloud and still no luck. I have deleted photos and data also. I need to back up to complete a reset. My camera is unable to take pictures and my phone reboots occasionally. Is there a chance to save this phone or is it time for a new phone? I want to at least get my data first. Any ideas? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Not sure why you had to buy a new phone; the upgrade did not require that.

But, you should be able to restore your new phone from your backup.

Otherwise, turn iCloud photos on on the old phone and sync your album to the cloud. Then enable iCloud photos on your new device. Once your photos have downloaded, you can elect to turn iCloud photos off.
