I have an AppleTV 2nd generation and I've lost the remote. When I tried to setup the AppleTV Remote from the Control Center on my iPhone it says I have to enter 4 digit code into the AppleTV to pair it with the app. But without a remote I have no way of entering any data into my AppleTV. So is it possible to do this?

The software remote in Control Center is compatible with Apple TV (3rd generation or later), not 2nd generation.
