Timing of submitting computer for trade

If it takes a while to receive a new MacBook Pro and I am trading in my existing computer, can I delay sending my existing computer in until I receive the new laptop? When I've traded in items previously the rules said you had to submit the item for trade within 14 days of receiving the trade in kit.

MacBook Pro Trade In Program I ordered a new 13" MBP and I did the Apple Trade in program to save some $$. My Trade in kit came yesterday but my new Macbook doesn't come in until Monday per FedEx. I've combed through all the information regarding the trade in policies and process. All I can find is it stating that I've got 14 days upon receiving the trade in kit to return my existing laptop. This is acceptable if I receive the trade in kit after I receive my new laptop for two reasons. I need at least 14 days to transfer all of my data and verify that it's there. I'm a software developer this is very important. I need a computer to work. I can't trade in my laptop and then immediately be sent a trade-in kit and then not have a computer for a minimum of 2 weeks. Could someone please provide some insight and clarification on this? Thank you.

iMac trade in I received my new iMac on 3/11/2021. When can I expect the trade-in kit to be delivered? Does the 14 day trade-in period begin when the kit arrives?

They don't ship the trade-in kit until about the same time they ship your new Mac. Mine arrived 2 or 3 days after my new Mac.
