iOS 15.1 Calendar app is laggy and unreliable

Interested to see this as having exactly the same issue with calendar since IOS 15.1 and have my work (exchange) calendar on both my iPad and phone (8 plus) but the calendar works fine, albeit a bit jerky, on my phone, not on my pad which is mostly blank now.

Since the latest update my calendar is all over the place - items are moving around, I don't know where I am at now with my appointments - I have several calendars - the syncing options have changed - please help!!!!

I am having the same issue with the syncing of calendars across devices. I spent 3 hours and 23 minutes with Apple Support on this issue. After searching the internet, I discovered this is NOT an isolated issues (which is what they made it sound like). Both senior advisors stated they did not see this as an issue. I really don’t understand how they did not know this when several internet sites stated users were having this issue. Why have me conducting the same thing over and over when you could have simply stated we don’t know what is wrong. Or We have learned our attempt to resolve this issue is not working, but our engineers are looking for a resolution.

Then to add to this, they closed my case with no resolution. This after they disconnected me senior advisor number one. Followed by snipe advisor number 2 stating she would call me back. I understand glitches occur with technology but customer service includes transparency and being courteous.

That is not the issue that this thread is about. I suggest you start your own thread. Your issue is more likely to get seen that way.

when I open my calendar, it immediately freezes so I’m not able to scroll through items, cannot search, can’t enter a new event… nothing! And the it just abruptly closes. I use my calendar for EVERYTHING

Clearly a problem. It is causing me to overbook appointments and is not exhibiting the high standards of Apple. However, I also realize that all of the players (Google,Microsoft,Apple) desire to steer folks toward their apps.

This is a total disaster. When will we get a fix.

not only does the calendar lag but it mixes all the events up. Shows the wrong event on the wrong day. Then randomly corrects itself and happens all over again.

If you are having a problem with iCloud.com, you should start a new thread as this thread is about the calendar on the iPhone and seems to have been resolved by updating iOS. You will get more and better help if you start your own thread.

thanks for your response but this is not an iCloud issue. I am referring to the use of an iCloud hosted calendar (ie an apple calendar) and accessing this on my iPhone. So it is an iOS issue and only today (I am on 15.3.1) I saw the issue occur again in front of my eyes. The week day at the top of the week view does not shift along with the content in the main view below. This can create a situation where it looks like I have nothing on Monday, when I do.

I would still recommend you start your own thread as, since you're not running iOS 15.1, your problem may have a different cause, even if the symptoms are similar. And, because the title of this thread talks about an older version of iOS, it has seen no traffic in over a month.

I’m having the same problem. It’s quite annoying.

I think you mean 15.1.

I did the setting reset, it didn’t fix anything and I had to reset a bunch of settings back.
