MacBook pro 2019 after monterey update the computer won’t turn on at all.
tried the usual suspects (pram, pressing command-option-r etc.) but nothing. Computer is also perfectly powered but nothing, no chime, no harddrive sound just a dead computer after the monterey update.
seems like a computer without power but it is fully powered

Problem: you need a second computer with the same or an higher operating system version.
As I didn’t have a second machine with Monterey already running, I went to the Apple Store and they revived the T2 chip. Problem solved and I hope this will also help others who faced bricked computers after the Monterey install.
Hi, So far, Two ppl got their macs repaired/replaced from free, most of them revived their laptops and others either have a brick or paid out of their pocket.

macbook dead after monterey install. Apple store wants $498 for logic board replacement with all previous drive erased. what a mess. Can't they just tell us nicely to buy new macbooks?? what a scam

same issue here with an iMac Pro. Currently at the Apple Repair service and in conversations with them as AppleCare expired and they want me to pay £1,300 for a logic board replacement....
Same here, I've filed one in the Indian consumer website.
