When selecting the Photos library or a folder of photos, they do not render. Have tried various options (e.g., Classic, Ken Burns, etc.). No luck.

I wanted to edit this to add to it, but can't do that, so here we go. I did notice on the iMac that if I pick any other screen saver, Monterey, Hello etc. they work, it is just with photos that they do not work.
did anyone also lose the folder that had their pictures in? i cant seem to find the images that i had saved and directed my screensaver to
Yes, I mentioned in this topic before. I restored the folder from Time Machine but the photos are still not rendered in screensaver.
Hopefully. Although I’m quite skeptical given than it took them 6-9 month to address previous issues with screensaver loading time.
I took PherankH's suggestion and installed "ArtSaver". It works great and I like it better than the built in screensavers because it displays the IPTC information in the picture file.

I have the same problem with my late 2019 iMac after installing Monterey
It seems that this issue is related to Intel hardware.
All those who complained are on intel macs.
I received a M1 MacBook and the problem is gone.

It was such a great item for my grandkids ... they could look at the family-photo's for hours! I'm really ****** that this doesn't work anymore. I hope it will get fixed quickly

Pffffff ... Is there a way to undo the upgrade to Monterey and go back to the previous one? Because it doesn't have many advantages so far :-(
