tag people in photos since updating to Monterey

I am trying to tag people in photos. I click add faces and the circle comes up but you can't move the circle to the face you want to name it just pulls the whole picture. I just upgraded to Monterey. I have also noticed that my album that searches unnamed faces doesn't work either. The filters for that are set to: Person is not %.

That is what I noticed too. After typing a name into the name field, I can move and adjust the circle. If there are many named faces It is easier anyway too name the additional face, while it is on top of all other circles and not occluded by the others.

sometimes restarting the mac will temporarily fix the problem with the stuck circles.

Hello djskaggs,

We see that you help with people in the Photos app.

For the best information, check this out: Find and identify photos of people using Photos on Mac.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, restart your Mac. Shut down or restart your Mac.

If the issue continues, test in safe mode: Start up your Mac in safe mode.

If you need help after those steps, Contact Official Apple Support.

Cheers!
