Apple TV and HDMI splitter

My tv only has two HDMI ports and both are being used. If I get an HDMI splitter will the Apple TV work as good?

If you want more HDMI inputs for your screen, then you will need an HDMI switch, not a splitter. It is directional.

As long as its a good quality splitter that supports HDCP it should work fine.
