My iPhone12 froze on the screen to turn off the phone

This morning I woke up and the screen on my Iphone12 was frozen. Subsequently, I tried to reset the phone using the volume up and down buttons and the power button without success. Then, superimposed messages appeared over the frozen screen “I’m sorry” “Curious just what I can do? Just ask what I can do”. A few minutes later, the screen was unfrozen. Has anyone else experienced this? I recently traveled from ATL to DFW round trip and stayed in a Hilton. Has anyone else experienced anything like this???
