Hey,
i have just installed MacOS Monterey on my 2016 MacBook Pro.
Now I want to extend my MacBook Pro screen to my iPad 2021, but the iPad does not show up anymore in „monitors“.
My Apple TV still appears and I can use it as my extended monitor but my iPad not.
I need help please, thank you!
Note: With my other MacBook (same year) it still works?

Could it be that the iPad OS needs to be updated? Our (8'th generation) iPad run iPadOS 15.1

We understand that you're unable to use Sidecar when using macOS Monterey. Your Mac is compatible to work with SideCar. Ensure that you have SideCar setup according to the guidance in Use an iPad as a second display for a Mac.

The sidecar functionality works in Monterey, however, it is accessed differently than Big Sur and Catalina (see below). Once connected, you can use the Displays Preference to disconnect the iPad.

P.S. With Monterey, you can now use Airplay from your iPad to mirror its screen on the Mac.

I think it is because of the new Monterey.
With my friends MacBook Pro 2016, but with old Catalina, it works and I can see my iPad under „displays“ ! Something is wrong with the new OS..

Last question: Does AirPlay work with the mac book pro 2016 and iPhone XS? I mean screen mirroring from phone to MacBook?
Is there any way to manually add an iPad? My iPad will not come up under Display.
