iPadOS 15 - Red notification number badge in folders

After upgrading to iPadOS 15, does anybody else’s Home Screen folders show red notification count badges, but after clicking into the folder, not have any badges on apps in the folder? It’s annoying to have to hunt across all apps to figure out which one is giving the notification.

We agree, it does sound like unexpected behavior as the app in the app folder should still show the app badge notification. That being the case, we want to offer our help.

Let's start with ruling out some basics:

You mentioned installing iPadOS 15, but the latest version is iPadOS 15.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If you already have iPadOS 15.1 installed, this link shows how to Restart your iPad.

Those steps did not affect the behaviour… this is clearly a bug.
