AirPod case not working

My AirPods and case got washed and dried and my right AirPod works but the case won’t have light and then will have a flashing orange light then it will disappear for awhile. And my left AirPod won’t work and did work with other speakers not the other ones but now nothing works on the left AirPod. Why does it stop working?

Washed and dried, like as laundry? That's both water and heat around electronics, which is never going to end well. Having the detergent to increase water penetration and battery power to short circuit is almost certainly going to cause irreversible damage to either the charging case or the AirPods (or both).

If your AirPods are covered by AppleCare+ you could try contact Apple Support, but I suspect they will assess this as outside the scope of covered damage and your only solution will be full cost replacement.
