After updating both my computers to macOS Monterey, the system does not go to sleep when any bluetooth device is connected, including Apple ones (Keyboard/Magic Mouse 2)
pmset -g in Terminal shows that bluetoothd prevents the system from sleeping.
Does anyone else has this issue?
Has anybody found a fix/workaround?
Same Problem here on a Mac Mini 2018 with clean install and no other software installed. This is a problem within the 12.2 OS and is also causing many laptops to lose battery charge during the night if they have bluetooth mouse or other things
connected.
The workaround is to turn off bluetooth or turn off your mouse and Keyboard and use wired devices. No need to waste a lot of time troubleshooting.

I, too, look forward to another ‘timely’ Apple response/non-response/denial/down-playing to yet another unrecognized yet seemingly widespread issue that may suddenly find itself resolved and given a footnote in the details of some future update.
Thank you for being the one to sit through this pain for all of us. I was like "what is this support article talking about? there's no 'advanced' button on that screen"... maybe it will show up again after a future update, and that will make this thread all the more confusing to future readers ha
I find it interesting that my iMac late 2015 i7 with 12.2 is sleeping normally. The problem must affect only certain configurations of bluetooth. The reports I am hearing are mainly late model Macs and Macbooks.
Are you by any chance using a Logitech MX3 Master mouse? I just bought one and am seeing a new problem of waking from sleep a couple of times an hour. If I turn it off and use only my Apple mouse sleep works fine with 12.21

I'm using the MX Keys for Mac Keyboard and the MX Master 2S mouse. I did add the MX Keys for Mac Keyboard just prior to upgrading to Monterey though. But I wasn't having any issues with either of those on Big Sur. I'll disable the keyboard and see what happens.

I'm having this same problem on an iMac i9 (2019). I was hoping that Monterrey 12.2 would fix it, but it has not. Have you found any success?
I did. My problem is basically identical to OPs. If I manually put the Mac to sleep it even wakes up.
The same problem on an iMac 2019, please fix it urgently!! Apple is wasting a lot of electricity & increasing carbon emissions.
In my case, it's been happening since 12.0. I think the MacBook people just started noticing it at 12.2 (or the issue got worse).
Same issue is happening on my 2019 16" Macbook Pro. I've updated to the latest 12.2.1 and the issue continues.
I miss the days when Apple released software that was stable and worked.
Researching online reveal that sleep problems with Logitech mouse keyboard are common with Monterey although worked fine with Big Sur.
