iOS 15 Update - iMessages not syncing

I updated both my iPhone 11 and iPad Air to iOS 15 this past weekend. Now iMessage will not sync between the two devises. I have done literally EVERYTHING suggested to resolve the problem... Turning off/on iMessages and FaceTime then rebooting (did this a million times) and I even reset my iPad. Still not syncing. Handoff is toggled on both devises. Send/Receive on iPad shows two email addresses but not my phone number (greyed out.) Is next step to completely erase and start from scratch or is this a know glitch?

Are you using Messages in iCloud?

Are you signed in to the same Apple ID and iCloud account on both devices?

You mentioned your phone number is greyed out. Have you set up text message forwarding? See: How to forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your iPad, iPod touch or Mac or Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime

Are other Handoff features working, as expected? For example, if you open a new tab in Safari does it show up on the other device?

If you are experiencing difficulties with message synchronisation between your iPad and iPhone - on your iPhone:

Settings > Text Message Forwarding - explicitly disable each device for which forwarding is enabled.

Force restart both your iPhone and iPad. After both devices have been restarted, re-enable Text Message Forwarding on the iPhone.

When I try to turn messages on in iCloud I get an error saying it’s not available because iCloud and iMessage accounts are different….? I only have one iCloud account. I’ve signed in to both devises with the same account. This issue began after I updated.

Actually, just remedied that. Now I’ll have to get home and see if that works. My phone number was not showing up on my iPad… Again, I’ll check after work. :)
