First half a second of each song is skipped

Hi everybody. I’m streaming from the Apple Music app on my iPad, from downloaded tracks, to my Hi Fi system. Annoyingly, when one track finishes, the next track commences up to a second in from the start. If I press the back arrow to start the track again then it plays from the start correctly.

I noticed @Hirez_ had a similar issue here:

Do others have the same issue? What is he cause and what is the fix?

Further, I did a back to back using Spotify and Apple Music, streaming to the same downstream system. Spotify did not show the problem. That might be because Spotify uses Spotify connect, and hence the iPad is out of the loop.

Hi,

cellular data doesn’t figure in this - I’m basically sat at home playing music over my wife network. Solid Wi-Fi connectivity - and if it wasn’t I would have drop outs at random places, but I don’t - I just lose the first second of a next track if I allow the preceding track to finish naturally and the next one start naturally. If I press ‘back’ the the song restarts normally, so the download to my iPad is ok.

it’s almost as if the iPad remembers it should be sending over Wi-Fi 1 second into the song.
