Deceptive in-app purchases and my rights as a customer/victim

I’ve noticed a lack of transparency concerning certain in-game purchases with a particular and popular game.

i made a complaint after I spent money on items that did not offer provide me any benefit , the items advertised suggest that I would have a ‘large chance of receiving the item I wanted’ there is no other way of getting these items other than this specific purchase, the same item also offers the complete opposite, a ‘large chance of getting an item that I do not want’ and a ‘chance’ of getting an item of little value. All up the possibilities are three different items. One I want , one two I don’t want. No drop rate is given, so this means that all I have to go off when assessing the risk to reward ratio is the word ‘large’.

after spending a large sum of money on these , I open them to find that that out of 120 containers only 20 give me the item I need. A 16.67 percent outcome. I open another 60, I receive 8 of the item I want, 13.333%

the word large , is not an effective way of conveying the information needed to make a rational decision about wether or not to buy the packages.

however I’m refused a refund, I’m told I should be more careful when making purchases as they cannot be refunded by the game provider and if the refund is processed through Apple then the items and gold will be deducted at a penalised rate.

so I’d like to know where I can find the specifics about the conditions the game provider must meet when advertising a specific thing. I’d also like to know where I can go to speak with someone who monitors the conduct of these sort of pay to play games.
