iPhone 11 front camera/speaker hot

Hello!

I have an iPhone 11 and the front camera/speaker area at the top gets boiling hot. It is only resolved by force reset.

I have spoke to Apple who have check my device and say nothing is wrong try to reset the whole device and set up as a new phone as opposed to set up from backup which is ridiculous as the phone should not get this hot. I am not on my phone constantly and it still happens.

It is physically unable to go on your skin - not great when you need to use it to speak to people. There is no specific time it happens nor is there a specific app which causes it.

My batter also drains incredibly quickly (probably half a day). It is set up for optimised changing etc. It is all up to date. No fancy screen options and background updates etc are all off.

Any ideas/help/advice?

Not ridiculous at all, standard troubleshooting.

If it gets hot when set up as new then it is hardware.

Backup and restore (using the computer method preferably)

(1)How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch – Apple Support

Unlock your SIM PIN if it has one

(2) Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings – Apple Support

Set up as new using your Apple ID. Install nothing. Use Youtube in Safari snd or Facetime and see how it goes,

If the problem remains then arrange a repair

What do you honestly expect from a user to user only forum, especially, if you've been advised what troubleshooting steps may solve your problem?

The process of backing up an phone and then restoring it are simple and LD150 provided them to you. No use in complaining to other users if you are unwilling to do what has been recommended. We can't come over to your house and fix anything for you.
