macOS Monterey and memory loss
Guys I just updated my MacBook Air M1 to macOS Monterey and should I be worried about these Macs bricking and the memory loss issue?

FWIW, one thing that is a known cause of memory leaks in Monterey is changing the cursor color to anything other than black. I know it caused Firefox 93 to grow to 70+GB as opposed to a normal 500MB. Resetting it "cured" Firefox.
Memory being lost doesn't mean the memory module is literally lost.
He means that the memory leaks and gets lost due to the memory structure not being utilized by the macOS operating system and the kernel on the M1 processor properly. It is a manufacturing and/or engineering defect and it widely reported by many Apple consumers if you utilize the search bar on this forum.

Is the computer working as expected on Monterey ? If yes - it is not bricked.
Memory loss - where is this coming from ? The Internal RAM is soldered to the LogicBoard so it is not going anywhere.
Maybe the OP is referring to some apps running in Monterey have memory leaks and use a lot of memory. I am finding that Chrome is using a lot of my memory, like225GB or so. I have 32GB install and am using a little swap.
2013 Mac Pro trashcan. Before Monterey, Chrome used a lot but not near 25GB.
M1 Macbooks have an issue of memory loss. It's widely reported fact.
To be very exact, the Memory modules are soldered to the Logicboard. So is one saying a module has been lost
Computers do not have memory loss. I have memory loss. Computers can have memory leaks from some apps.
Not experiencing a bricked M1 Pro or any memory loss with macOS 12.0.1. Widely reported by people that wrote the operating system and have an intimate knowledge of the Monterey memory subsystem in macOS Monterey, or people that just think they have a memory loss issue?
