Finder "Gallery View" image size

Anyone know why Gallery View is not sizing the main image to fill the available space? Please see screen shot below. It did not used to behave like this. Is it a Monterey bug?

Try relaunching the Finder. Hold the option key, then right/control click on the Finder icon in the Dock.
