I recently bought a new iPhone 13 for my daughter as a Christmas present but in my name. I now have a notification "Get ready for your new iPhone" that I wish to remove! Please help!

I removed it by just switching off iCloud backup, coming out of the screen and then going back in and switching it back on again. And hey presto the message was gone. No idea why it works but it did for me

If you want to cancel all information from that device and restart from scratch:--> What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If you want to set it up for your daughter, use a different Apple ID & password for her.

If you want to control that iPhone from your iPhone, use family sharing, as per these instructions:--> Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support.

If you mean something different, please better specify your needs.

I’m in the same boat. Bought new phones for family and this “get ready for your new iPhone” message now persists in the settings app on my iPhone. Even after those family members set up and activated their devices and linked them to their own Apple accounts. There seems to be no way to get rid of this annoyance.

I'd beg to differ - the problem isn't solved if it relies on Apple getting bored and going away. Like you, I've had this notification on my iPhone for about three weeks now. I've just updated to IOS 15.2 and it's still there. The person for whom I bought the iPhone has been using it for all of those three weeks. It is never going to get set up by me! Very irritating, and I have no doubt that Apple couldn't care less.
