Open Sans Format Issues

This is not a standard Mac font by default— Have you considered using a compatible alternate font without issue...?

For your third party apps—searching their Support/Help/FAQ/known issues/compatibility may be your better bet.

If the end game is web site development, than in the CSS utilizing

@font-face

or

@import

may be a way around local issues.

Do you see these problems with any Apple apps, like Pages?
