iOS 15.1 bug with magic keyboard and Facebook

I am so extremely tired of the “fix” for the keyboard problem. I keep getting blue lines around things I type and even looks like my typing is highlighted in blue. This is ridiculous. I want my iPad “keyboard” to work like it was before the update. I hate this workaround fix. Ridiculous

It's been a very long time with no progress on this. I guess Apple is ignoring this problem. Or maybe isn't even aware - though I know some tech support people are, since I haven't seen any one from Apple actually responding here.

Having the same trouble and did the full keyboard access thing. Now the spacebar is acting up in the command box in safari. I'll try turning the full keyboard access off and see if that works.

I'm with you about deleting facebook, but Apple really screwed the pooch on this update. Never had problems like this before with an update. It's like the kids at Apple don't bother beta testing the updates.

Granted the Emoji's button not working isn't the end of the world, but why should it even happen. Apple's new code did something to mess it up. I'm also getting a blue line around the entire screen or sometimes a dialogue box as though it's a signal of data download. Hope Apple gets it together with an update to their update soon.

I tried this method and I cannot for the life of me find “Full Keyboard Access”. I have followed Settings — General — Accessibility — Keyboards and just cannot find it. Is there a sub menu it’s hiding in?

I installed update 15.1 earlier today, and now when using the Facebook app (and maybe others, not sure yet) it freezes up when I click on comments or try to type comments. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the FB app. I have forced a shutdown of my ipad. Still keeps happening. What more can be done to get rid of this very time consuming and annoying bug?

Yep, the same with Adobe, probably the worst of them all. Doesn’t mean we have to like it, we are after all, the ones who pay for the products. Using the forum they provide us to solve our own issues to complain about the policy seems entirely fitting to me. You’ll find there a trained/motivated users who are tasked with shutting down such ‘unhelpful’ discussions too.

Funny, the problem didn’t exist before the update and yet it’s not the fault of the update.

I agree. Apple do have customer support if the forums can’t help. With Microsoft it seems all their support phone numbers now point to use to their forums.

It is certainly strange then problem appeared with iOS 15 but was fixed by Facebook. That surprised me too as I believed it was an Apple problem.

I have the exact same issue with Facebook and the Magic Keyboard.

Thanks for the heads up. Facebook is working ok now. If the full keyboard access setting screws up other applications then maybe it’s time for me to delete Facebook.

Same here, HELP! It’s driving me absolutely crazy. As soon as the iPad undocks from the keyboard, no issue. It’s a keyboard software issue…..
