iOS 15.1 bug with magic keyboard and Facebook

Same for me with iPad Pro 9.7 but I’m not using the Magic keyboard but a Logitech Smart Keyboard. If I disconnect the keyboards then all is fine.

Have you tapped on the Commands button in the Full Access panel and cleared the items which are not working right?

BYW: I have Apple Keyboard. Same herewith freezing. . Keyboard freezes when tapping comments. If I get out of app and go back sometimes it works. But who wants to do that?

I have the same issue with facebook. And i have and issue with photo app with my Magic Keyboard since up date 14.5 i had call apple.ca many time they have took a diagnostic of my iPad but they had not resolve my problem yet.

Same Here. No problems until recent update. Apple help is no help…they blame facebook. Removing Magic keyboard solves the problem. iPad and Facebook work fine when it is disconnected from the keyboard…..Apple moderators are not listening to us…..ITS THE IOS UPDATE AND MAGIC KEYBOARD! HELLO

I would like to know if you have the same issues with the photo app and your Magic Keyboard that i have

Photos app freezes when I switch between days/months/years and scroll up & down a bit. It stops responding and I have to kill & reopen it.

This only happens when Magic Keyboard is connected. I have two 11.9” iPad Pros (2019) Can’t reproduce it when the iPad is not connected to the Magic Keyboard.

Nothing works to stop FB from freezing except remove my Apple keyboard. If the all access keyboard is on, my space bar does not work. Also, I don’t want to allow all internet to access what I type. I have tried all the suggestions mentioned.

As was explained here earlier, to have your space bar work, you just do the following: After you’ve done the full keyboard access you then need to go to accessibility; keyboards; full keyboard access; commands; then activate and then clear.

I don’t want to allow all internet to access what I type.

The "access" being discussed here has nothing to do with the internet. It just means you can control your iPad with your keyboard instead of your fingers.

Let us know if you still cannot get everything to work right like others here have been able.

This is a serious issue that is impacting my ability to manage my home-based business that I use FB to promote. I cannot comment or expand comments on FB without it freezing the FB app. The work around suggested re: changing keyboard settings does not work because it screws the keyboard for other apps. The space bar doesn’t work and blue boxes appear around everything and the keyboard simply refuses to type after a few letters. This happened after the 15.1 update and it needs to be acknowledged and dealt with by Apple ASAP. It’s been going on for over a week now. FIX IT!

I have the same issue, so I did the fix of turning on the full keyboard. That fixed facebook but now I can’t type on anything but facebook as there is no space bar. You have to use some type of configuration to use the space key. Also a blue box is around everything. I would understand if this was an issue with other keyboards but not with the apple keyboard. When will this issue be fixed? Do I need to buy another keyboard from another company? Thanks

Hi, I’m having the same issue. I have the new iPad 9th generation and using with new Logitech combo touch keyboard. I can’t use FaceBook as within a minute, it freezes.

Turned on Full Key Boardboard accessibility, but then I can’t use the space button. I’m at a loss what to do…

When is this issue going to be fixed by Apple? None of the "fixes" listed in these comments actually works. They may be work arounds for some, but the issues they cause for other apps and and programs are many and problematic. This has been going on long enough!

THIS IS F’N MADDENING! I have completed EVERY single suggestion noted here, and I CANNOT FUNCTION in other apps now. Affinity Photo is IMPOSSIBLE.

APPLE, HELP! I AM GOING TO THROW YOUR KEYBOARD OUT THE WINDOW. THIS HAS GONE ON TOO LONG, READ THIS THREAD AND SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING TO US.

Thanks Steve. That seams to have worked. Had trouble locating “space” under Command, as there was no such name- but figured it out when I compared it to my iPhone and where that command should be. Thanks so much for your help!
