Since updating to ios 15.1 my facebook app doesn’t work properly. If I click on a post the whole app freezes. I’ve tried reinstalling FB and rebooting ipad. Realized today that if I take the ipad off of the magic keyboard the issue is resolved! Any fixes for this?
I have the same issue, I went to Settings - General - Accessibility - Keyboards and turned on “Full Keyboard Access” and it seems to be working now. I saw another post that said this setting was changed during the update.
Yes I have the same issue. Turning full accessibility on fixes facebook but breaks the space bar.
You’re not alone. I’m using the iPad Pro 2021 with the Magic Keyboard. When I use it to view Facebook comments it seems to freeze the app for sometime before the comments are viewable and the app is useable again. If I restart the iPad with the Magic Keyboard detached everything works fine. This only started happening recently. I’m using iOS 15.1.
Well I did turn on “full keyboard access” and it solved the Facebook thing but whatever that function does really messed up my search typing to the point I had to turn it off. Every time i touched the space bar I’d end up with a blue rectangle around something on the screen….I guess I’ll just have to take my iPad off the keyboard if i need to comment on Facebook. I give
I lift my ipad off the keyboard for every FB post I want to comment on or read comments. I hated the way keyboard had blue lines and blue highlighting when I did the steps for the all access keyboard. That made a mess of using keyboard in other programs. I cannot believe Apple or Facebook cannot correct this problem. And every time I come here to post, it says post cannot be saved and to try again in few minutes. What is going on?
But you can’t go back to facebook and type. I have to turn the keyboard on and off while using it depending on what I need to use it for.

As far as I can see it’s only the FB app. I have noticed a slight delay in various actions on other things but nothing specific that I remember.
I do now realize that the FB freezing is temporary. If I wait long enough, the action eventually takes place. Maybe 15 or 20 seconds.
I have an iPad 11 pro 1st generation. I am using an Apple branded magic keyboard. I tried using my Apple brand smart key board and had no issue. I do believe it is the magic keyboard.
If this helps, I did not have an issue when I updated to 15.0. Only when I installed 15.1.
I have restarted the iPad and also reinstalled the app.
Without the keyboard attached everything works as it should.

I'm circling back after having made the two-step accessibility changes as outlined. For awhile everything seemed fine. However, last night for no apparent reason, the long window that lists the commands ascribed to full keyboard access appeared in the center of my screen and would not go away. It effectively blocked any type of command or button-press sequence to the point I feared it was going to prevent me from shutting the ipad down. Finally, I realized the the shut down slider was appearing directly behind that floating window and after many attempts I was able to make the slide motion to shut down. It was a tad scary since everything I found online indicated that under certain circumstances, the only way to fix a total freeze like that is to downgrade OS and to do that, you need to connect via cable to a computer with iTunes. Well, my MacPro wine cooler doesn't have USB-C so that was out. So... this is just FYI, I don't think the problem is gone away for me. Hoping for a fix in the next update.

The fix for that is to tap the Commands button in Access and clear the item for Space Bar (and any other key that doesn't work the way you want).
Read all the messages in this discussion and you will see this has already been mentioned a couple times.
Looks like there similar issues with all remote keyboards I am using the new Logitech keyboard also having issues now since updating 15.1 The iPad Pro is only a few months old 😔 Come on apple sort it out. You spend £900 you expect better.

Forums like this, run by the corporations that make the products which have the problems. They rely on unpaid customers and badge rewarded super-users to exchange ad-hoc solutions whilst the real cause is ignored, sometimes for months, years or forever. It provides the illusion of customer support but really it’s cheap distraction. If Apple releases an update which messes with functionality for another of their products then the ideal customer solution is that they address it themselves. Are they too important to bother with such trivial matters? Or not resourced enough? Two trillion seems like it would be enough. Instead customers fumble around in the dark like peasants until Lord Corporate deigns to pay them the least concern and, let me guess, you’re going to tell me to be grateful for the opportunity.
All major corporations seem to be the same unfortunately with the first line of help always being fellow users - Microsoft is the same.
However in this case it eventually seemed the problem was with Facebook & not the iOS 15 update.
