Cleaning your Usb-c ports on your Mac

Is there any type of proper way to clean your MacBook pro's usb-c ports?

Don't use any metal or conductive instrument to clean the ports since USB-C ports do have power to some of the pins. If you short the power to another pin, then you may burn the connector & related internal chips. Normally there is no reason to clean a USB-C connector since at most the connector gets some light oxidation after a few years of use. If there is anything else wrong with the USB-C port/connector, then it is most likely damaged (liquid damage, corrosion, burn/scorched pins). Plus the USB-C ports are so narrow it is nearly impossible to clean the contacts. There are some very small & thin cotton swabs available that you can dip the cotton tip in Isopropyl alcohol which may fit into the USB-C port. Just let the alcohol evaporate & dry before trying to use the port.
