2010 MacBook Pro

Hi and hello,

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my particular issue.

So, I recently. traded computers with a friend of mine. He had a SSD and larger RAM installed a bit before the trade. I was trying to do a factory recent and through several attempts I have somehow seemingly destroyed the computer. It's I erased too far. I have attached a small clip of what it is doing.

In case the clip doesn't work; upon restart and/or start up it has loads of small writing coming from the bottom of the screen moving to the top of the screen. Pretty sure this is normal. However, it only does it for a split second and then nothing but white screen afterwards. It used to display the small writing for longer when starting up but now it seems like it crashes before it can finish. I've tried holding command+r but to no avail. Please assist me in fixing this.

This is the Suggested Official Method by Apple.

That should have been done to both your computer before taking it to Friend and same what Friend should have done before trading to you.

What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac
