Hi.
I am not able to use my Escape (Esc) key after upgrading to MacOS Monterrey 12.0.1. I am confident that it is not a hardware issue.
Here is what I tried:
The Esc key won't work/register/detect/respond.
Is anybody else facing the same issue? My device is MacBook Air M1.

I sure that this is related with Siri.app, because CMD+Space long press not working also. Siri app from menubar not responding at all.
How to fix it:
Go to Activity Monitor > Kill process Siri.app
Now Esc will work correctly.
Thank you, this worked perfectly, I am now going to deactivate Siri completely, never use it anyway.

This worked, thanks a lot. I would keep that force quit all the time, i don't use Siri at all.
yes, killing Siri fixed it w/ no logout required.
