How long should the product last. Purchased Spring of 2020 and the connection goes in/out at times like the connecting cord it not strong

AV Adapter stopped working on iPad Air after iOS 12.3 update I have been using the Apple AV adapter with my iPad Air 2 for 3 years with no problems. After recent update to 12.3.1 the adapter no longer works with the iPad. When I attach the adapter it does not display the blue mirroring indicator, or, it may display the indicator at first but stops when the hdmi cable is attached. When the power is attached to the adapter, and the blue AV indicator is displayed, it flashes Not Charging over the battery indicator. Then the AV indicator goes away and it shows the battery charging. The iPad charges fine when directly connected to power. I went and bought another Apple AV adapter but I have the same result. Using same adapters, cables, same TV, and power all work fine connected to my iPhone 6 running 11.3 - I don’t want to update the iPhone and have the same problem with it.

Apple lightning adapter My adapter stopped working today. out of nowhere and i dont know what to do it does not work any more and the problem is NOT the headphones. this adpater is LESS than two years in use and already broken. and you pay 10 EUROS for a new one. what can i do to fix mine because i am not buying a new one. They are way to expansive and if they keep breaking down after two years not worth the price in my opinion. if anyone knows what to do please tell me.

It sounds like your Lightning Digital AV Adapter is to working properly, and we're happy to help. Are you able to test this with a different cable? Also, can you confirm if this happens with different devices?
