Hello! I just update my apple tv (3rd generation) you do fix the issue with the user can’t logging the account.BUT! Now I can’t use the airplay, no matter is my mac, iPad, iPhone.
I try everything I can, I search all the solution. No one work!
(reset/ reopen my wifi/ logging my account try to connect with home/plug out 2hr...)

On Mac
Use/install apple configurator 2 on your IMac or MacBook.
connect to ATV micro usb.
Choose Apple TV3
Choose Profile
Choose Activate

I used configurator 2 on my Mac and conected via usb. My ATV activated with one click.
My ATV is now working again as expected.

Did you every manage to fix this problem? I am now having the same issue with my Apple TV 3rd gen. Everything is logged in correctly, wifi is working (I can stream online content), iCloud is logged in BUT I get the same as above when looking in General / About and it states ACTIVATION : FAILED. As a result, the apple tv is not showing in my list of airplay devices.
