Monterey is not installing on my mid 2015 MacBook Pro. All it does is tell me to try again. What's the problem?

Monterey isn't installing on my mid 2015 MacBook Pro. Apple says it'll install on this model. No error messages. All it says is to try again. So, I tried again, and got the same message to try again. What's the problem?

Hello Garvs1,

Our understanding is that when attempting to install the macOS Monterey upgrade, you’re met with a message to try again.

Please be sure that you have enough storage available on your Mac. If upgrading from macOS Sierra or later, you’ll need 26GB of available storage to upgrade. If upgrading from an earlier release, that changes to 44GB of available storage.

As with any upgrade, a current backup is also a good idea - How to back up your Mac

Another step you can take is to boot your Mac to safe mode and attempt the install there as well. How to use safe mode on your Mac.

Thanks.
