Hi there, I recently updated to iPhone update 15.1. Since then when I am trying to dictate anything the microphone cuts off immediately after I stop talking. I cannot even stop to take a breath, and it cuts off.
i have powered the phone on and off. Nothing. I have toggled dictation on and off. Nothing.
Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way to keep the microphone on longer? help.

Good troubleshooting steps so far.
If that doesn't help, test the microphone on your iPhone: If the microphones on your iPhone aren't working
Then ensure Dictation is set up correctly: Use Dictation on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Isolate it further. Do you use Siri? If so, test the microphone using Siri and see if the issue persists with Siri, as well.
If the issue only occurs with Dictation, then it would be best for you continue from here with Apple directly: Get Support
