iCloud desktop and documents on macOS

Hello,

I would like to enable iCloud Desktop and Documents syncing but something is not clear to me.

If I enable the syncing, do desktop and documents files still remain stored on the macOS usual

location other than in iCloud?

What happens if I edit a file locally on the Mac without being connected to the Internet?

Thanks for helping,

Dan

If enabled, your documents will be on your Mac and synced with iCloud. Any changes you make in either location will be reflected on the other. Changes made offline will be updated once connected to the internet.
