Monterey Upgrade - Mac Mail Search Not Working

Since I upgraded to Monterey, the search on my Mac mail does not pull up anything. Any suggestions to fix this?

Mail Search Fail in Monterey After (finally) biting the bullet and upgrading to Monterey (12.2.1) in my iMac, I tried using the Search feature of Apple Mail. Utter failure! Search can't find anything useful, including a failure to suggest 'From' an email address in my Inbox. I'm sorry just to gripe, but this issue has been around for a year (as I see from searching for a solution in Communities), and once again Apple fails to notice and execute a fix. Does anyone have a proven workaround and/or fix?

Monterey 12.3.1 search issues My monterey was working fine till a mac update yesterday 12april 2022. Ever since the update the search field does not turn up the results. the smart folder in apple mail are not function as it should. what can i do to fix this. Vikas

Monterey OSX Mail Search does not work I know this has been written up elsewhere, but I wanted to share my experience in case the pattern suggests a fix to anyone. After upgrading to Monterey, my mail search does not work. This is what happens and stays this way: I have tried the following: Telephone calls with Apple support and Senior Apple support (who both did screen shares) - they could not help and said would refer the problem to engineering. I rebuilt my mailboxes by deleting all envelope**** files in ~/Library/Mail/V9/MailData. The search above "oura" worked the first time post rebuild, but has stopped working again. Strange behavior indeed! Any suggestions would be very welcome - many thanks!

click a 2nd time on the search area. It should come up, if it does not please restart in Safe Mode then restart normally and retest.

Works perfectly on mine. Specifically what issue are you running into? Please write details, I suspect it is user error.

When searching in the search bar, it no longer pulls up a search in the mailboxes. No user error, doing the same as before Monterey
