My monterey was working fine till a mac update yesterday 12april 2022.
Ever since the update the search field does not turn up the results. the smart folder in apple mail are not function as it should.
what can i do to fix this.

Rebuild the Spotlight index on your Mac - Apple Support
mail use this same data base
Add the Macintosh HD then say 30 sec later remove it to jump start the indexing:
