printer offline message

Monterrey upgrade - hp wireless printer is seen but get message "printer offline" so can't print

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Please do the following in this order:

·Uninstall all HP software, put in the Trash and empty the Trash.
·Please reset the printing system per Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem
·Next, follow the instructions in Adding a printer

Here are a couple items that might help you resolve the problem.

One is regarding deleting and reinstalling the printer, the other about resetting the printing system.

Thanks rkaufmann87 but I took the easy way out and bought a new wireless printer that almost set itself up. Old printer was about ten years old so no tears were shed. DJH
