Discontinued Barclays Apple Rewards Card / redemption problem

These Barclay Cards are white with the Apple logo. Have a value of 25 usd each. And were sent after using the Barclays Apple Rewards Credit card to purchase Apple products online or in an Apple store. I bought several computers and have over 600 dollars in Apple -Barclays cards. This program has been discontinued leaving me wondering how to redeem them. Attempts to redeem them online are pretty useless in that inquiries defer to the I tunes store which cannot seem to discern the difference between a gift card and an Apple Rewards card. And cough up an invalid code which in turn defers you to a phone number where someone equally clueless refers you after 10 minutes of explaining yourself to another ,before the phone call drops.... Anyone have any ideas ?

Hello Paige, I had 16 cards and was unable to do so online. I called Apple Support and they explained that this is only good at the store for the white/silver GC cards are for instore purchases. The advisor went and collapsed all the GC to one gift card and then we proceeded with the purchase. He was patient enough to let me log in get my military discount and was able to purchase Apple 13 Pro Max from an Apple 6S and a pair of pro beats. All you need to explain your sitaution to the advisor and was very helpful. I do hope this helps anyone in this situation. Happy Holidays to all !

HI, have you tried reaching out to the support team at Barclay’s? They might know the terms and conditions of their former rewards program.


The program was discontinued a few years ago and as I recall you redeemed Barclay’s Reward Points for Apple Gift Cards. I believe the minimum redemption was 2,500 points and you’d receive a $25 Apple Gift Card. The Apple Gift would never expire.


Do you just have Barclays Rewards Points or an Apple Gift Card?
