Will new Mac Mini M1 HDMI port ever support 3008 x 1692

The USB-C Adapter will support 3008 x 1692 but the native hdmi port on the Mac Mini doesn't. How silly I have 2 identical 4k monitors and yet can't display the same resolution on them.

I thought, well, then I'll get another USB-C adapter and plug both hdmi cables into my 2 adapters. Nope, won't support 2 HDMI monitors that way.

3008 x 1692 is the perfect resolution ... please please please enable the native hdmi port to support that resolution.

It's heaven when I switch my 2 awesome monitors to my Windows laptop...that dock has no problem giving me the 3008 resolution for both monitors - very productive. Very annoying can't get it to work on Mac Mini.

Switch displays - yes. Identical HDMI cables: yes. I just bought 3 new IDENTICAL Samsung 28" UHD monitors and am using the cables that came with them. I have a fairly new Dell laptop, with a dock with 2 hdmi ports, and the resolutions available in that config are ideal...I get my 3008 x 1692 from all 3 of the monitors (I experimented switching them out to make sure it wasn't a monitor-specific issue). So I think that eliminates cables/monitors being the problem.

I switch the monitors around on the MacMini adapter hdmi port and the native port, and 100%...the native port on the MacMini just won't give me 3008x1692. I was so bummed when I couldn't run 2 hdmi monitors off of 2 adapters since that is the one giving me the resolution I want.

If you mean 3008x1692 not HiDpi (or Retina) you can try SwitchresX (there's a 10 day trial) mode. But if you mean HiDpi you can't because, if I can remember (I'm a long time Switchres user), the display must be capable of at least double of the desired res 6016*....).

If the first solution is ok the only problem I see is that you also need to know the correct timings. In this case you could contact the developer @ www.madrau.com.
