u2718q for macbook pro 2015

I tried to use hdmi cable connecting my MacBook Pro 2015 to dell u2718q, I found that there is only 30hz, cannot select 60hz. What’s wrong with it? Can someone teach me how to fix it? Any accessory need to prepare?

Your 4K display can connect:

1 x DP (ver. 1.2), 1 x mDP (ver. 1.2), 1 x HDMI (ver. 2.0)

so the DISPLAY could connect over HDMI and show 60 Hz.

However, that computer features only HDMI v1.4, according to the article below, which goes up to 30Hz maximum.

To achieve 60 Hz refresh rate, Connect ThunderBolt to DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort. Mini DisplayPort cable is the same at each end, plugs into ThunderBolt-2 port with no conversion.

Apple has never sold a Mini DisplayPort cable, because they have "nothing special to add, so it was left for aftermarket vendors".

That does not mean a Mini DisplayPort cable is not readily available.

To achieve 60 Hz refresh rate, Connect ThunderBolt to DisplayPort or Mini DisplayPort. Mini DisplayPort cable is the same at each end, plugs into ThunderBolt-2 port with no conversion.
