I have an issue when streaming Apple Music from my Iphone 12 (IOS 15.1) via Bluetooth
to my car audio system. The sound cuts for short moments. I asked my son to watch
the settings screen on my Iphone and below Flightmode and Wifi a new thing named "Ethernet"
popped up at the same time the audio problems occured. Disappers - music back. Appears - music gone.
Annoying to say the least.

Do you have any VPN software installed on your iPhone? If so, can you please remove it temporarily, not just disable it? Does that change the behavior at all?
Is it fair to say that your iPhone is connected to cellular data when this happens, since you’re in your vehicle and away from your Wi-Fi network? In Settings > Wi-Fi can we make sure ‘Ask to Join Networks’ is off. Then, do you have any other devices with you that might be broadcasting a Personal Hotspot? If so, can we disable that as well and see if there is any change?
Does this happen when playing songs that are downloaded to your device?

I have tried to turn everything off - apart from Bluetooth.
And in my Volvo and previous cars (Audi,BMW) I've always had setting OFF in my iPhone for shared internet (Ask to join Network).
This week I went the opposite way and turned ON shared internet (Ask to join Network). And now I have streaming music without those cuts or cracks.
I don't know how to understand this. Is the "body" of my Volvo disturbing the antenna in my iPhone ? And turning ON means I get better reception through my car who has no active account or SIM card for navigation.............. ?
I've sent question about this to my Volvo car dealer here in Sweden. No reply. I will ask them again. There might be compatibility issues also between my iPhone 12 and media SW code in my car.

We understand that when connecting to your vehicle via Bluetooth, the sound is cutting out.
Does your vehicle support CarPlay? We want to verify if we’re working with CarPlay or a regular Bluetooth connection. Here’s a list of vehicles that do: CarPlay - Available Models.
Does the same thing happen if you’re playing music that is downloaded to your device? You had specifically mentioned streaming, but we wanted to determine if the situation was isolated to streaming only.

That’s certainly interesting that turning on ‘Ask to Join Network’ changed the behavior. Are you being prompted to join any networks along the way?

I don’t have Carplay. It’s BT only.
About your second question I’m using Apple Music and I don’t think all tracks are stored in my phone. Close to 5.000.
The question is who initiates the Ethernet connection ?? The Iphone or my car, a Volvo XC60 (2017).
