Even I have done this change. I have changed the media kind to ‘Movie’ and ‘TV show’ based on my content imported.
Workaround: In the Content of the "Home Videos" add One Customised Genre or Multiple Genres to all the videos in the Home Videos then the videos will start to appear under Genres
