Can I use my Mac as a monitor?

I have a Huawei laptop which I would like to connect to my old 2011 iMac and use the latter as a monitor. Thus, I would be connecting the two through a dvhi - micro usb cable. I tried to verify if this is an option by clicking on command + fn +f2 on the iMac keyboard and see if any window popped up. Nothing happened. However, it may be possible that I need to connect something first. Can you guys help? Is this an option or is my iMac too old?

Thanks in advance

The iMac cannot be used as a monitor for a PC. That has never been a supported function.
