I use Sennheiser PXC 550-II, after updating OSX to version 12.0.1 on the MacBook Pro 2019 16" i9,
mic randomly get mute in the middle of a call and I can able unmute it, I try with the slack app and google meet browser,
how can I fix it? it looks like related to the nice feature to improve Bluetooth accessories.

Although I hope this bug will be fixed quickly.
I too had this problem until now and I solved it by chance. My Aeropex kept going mute like for many people here. On my Macbook Pro, I went to Sound Preference, click Input tab and click on Aeropex. Lo and behold, the input volume was near the minimum. I pulled the slider up to the max and seems to have fixed the problem so far.
Apple doesn't monitor these forums. Tell Apple about your problems via Feedback - macOS - Apple so that they know others are having the same problem.

Issue was fixed in MacOS 12.4 for my Airpods Pro.
Using Mutekey: https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/mutekey/id1509590766?l=en&mt=12 with a keyboard shortcut to mute the active mic.
Still have the same issue with the lastet update 12.2.1
I confirmed randomly headphones will mute from system sound settings

Hello I have the same problem with Aeropex by AfterShokz headphone after the update after the Monterey update. Please provide solution. I think this is clearly a bug.
The problem is still there even after resetting the NVRAM. This is clearly a bug and it is not possible to have video calls anymore. Please provide the solution.

Actually..my issue has now been mysteriously resolved....my headset seems to be working fine as of yesterday. I have no idea why as I haven't changed anything or applied any updates.
I have exactly the same issue. After upgrading to Monterrey, my Jabra Elite 75t are muted randomly during calls. I use both Google Meet and MS Teams (the app) and it only happens with Meet so far.
I am seeing the same issue with a Jabra 75t headset using both Slack and Zoom on Monterey 12.0.1. A few minutes into the call it will start muting and once I unmute it'll immediately mute again.
Exact same problem with Aftershokz as800's and macOS Monterey on MackBook Pro.
